Good Monday morning everyone! We should start the week off dry, but storm chances will gradually increase the further into this week we go. Here’s a look at our latest 7 day outlook:
Note, we do keep a small PM storm chance tomorrow but we think this chance is mainly northwest of the area. This changes into Wednesday as southwest flow sets up a more favorable scenario for storm development in the Round Rock area. Favorable shots for heavy rain and storms are likely beginning Wednesday and persisting through the end of the week. These will especially come in the afternoon and evening hours as daytime heating provides ample instability to fire storms. Wednesday we do have a slight risk for severe weather for wind, hail and potentially a few tornadoes in the area, but we will need to fine tune the details as high-res data comes into play later this afternoon and tomorrow.

Note, the ample instability and moisture source from the Gulf of Mexico will allow some of these storms to contain extremely heavy rainfall and given the multiple clusters throughout the second half of this week, 3-5″ of rain is not off the table this week:
