Beautiful weather over the next couple of days….we gradually work in changes from Sunday through next week. We are looking at a multiple day severe weather threat….starting Sunday and Monday over the western Plains, then the threat increases and shifts east mid-week. Thinking Wednesday will be the day of greatest concern for more widespread rains/storms and a possible severe storm event. Time to recap your severe weather preparedness plan!
Data is coming into better agreement regarding rainfall amounts through late next week….thinking is pockets of 1-2″ from eastern Nebraska/Kansas to much of Iowa and Missouri. I think southwest Kansas will remain drier, as the dry-line will shift the storm focus east of there.
High temperatures over the next 4 days:
Low temperatures over the next 4 days….watch those lows in northeast Nebraska and central/northern Iowa for a frost risk Saturday morning, then a light freeze is possible for northeast Iowa Sunday morning.
