4-26-19 Iowa Cubs: Timing out rain chances this weekend. Wet pattern next week. B.

Today’s Video:

Good Friday morning everyone! Today should be an overall nice day and we don’t anticipate problems for tonight’s game. Some data tries to bring in rain showers late this evening, but given low level dry air, we believe that rain does not reach the ground and you stay dry for the game. However, as we push into tomorrow the next storm system will work into the area with light rain showers overnight tonight, tomorrow morning and into the early afternoon. Though we expect rain to be out before the game starts tomorrow, we anticipate strong winds gusts up tp 35-40 MPH to start the game and temperatures in the low 40s. Simulated radar from midnight tonight to 8PM Saturday:

Temperatures fall below freezing on Sunday morning warming into the mid-50s Sunday afternoon. Another round of rain and storms likely develops late in the day on Sunday – at this time we expect rain/storms to arrive after your game on early Sunday afternoon. However, we will need to watch this system very closely – if it were to speed up a few hours it could impact the back half of the game. Regardless, would plan on putting the tarp on the field after the game on Sunday.

Here’s a look at total precipitation through next Thursday:
