4-24-19 Northern Plains: Rains likely south late today through tonight…eyeing additional system into early weekend. I.

Don’t forget, today is our official summer forecast webinar at 11amET! We encourage everyone to sign-up at BAMwx.com/webinar for if you miss the webinar live, an e-mail will be sent out to you with a recording of the whole thing. Also, because of the webinar we will not be doing a long-range video mid-morning, putting the finishing touches on the webinar presentation. Have a blessed day!

Today’s Video:

Showers generally lift out of northeastern MN this afternoon followed by widely isolated showers and/or perhaps a couple storms into central MN. A disturbance from the west will bring rains with a few storms to the portions of SD mainly from mid-afternoon through the overnight, clipping far southern MN as well into Thursday morning. Our next best chance for precipitation won’t start until Friday night west into Saturday east, potentially bringing a corridor of wet snow mixing with rain as well but yet to be determined. The pattern will be switching to much more active next week as ridging develops more to the southeast and allows moisture flow into the area. Precipitation through the next 10 days reveals a general 1-3″ for most areas, especially the southern half of the area, as we open up the month of May.
