Total precipitation over the next 10 days: Most remain dry today with only a few showers in southeastern IA, then a disturbance brings a band of showers starting late tonight and working eastward through the day Thursday, exiting late in the afternoon. Friday is looking to remain on the drier side and a go for any outdoor plans. However, we are targeting a more active pattern ahead into next week as a southeastern US ridge develops and a frontal zone stalls just to our south with repeated rounds of showers and storms. Through the next 10 days, 1-3″ of rain is looking to be likely.
