4-24-19 Indiana: Rain risks increase today through late work week, especially south…active pattern expected into next week. I.

Don’t forget, today is our official summer forecast webinar at 11amET! We encourage everyone to sign-up at BAMwx.com/webinar for if you miss the webinar live, an e-mail will be sent out to you with a recording of the whole thing. Also, because of the webinar we will not be doing a long-range video mid-morning, putting the finishing touches on the webinar presentation. Have a blessed day!

Total precipitation over the next 7 days reveals the heaviest of the precipitation residing across the southern half of the state – generally Indy and points south. Scattered rain risks increase today and will be focused especially south as the day progresses into tonight. We can’t rule out a few strong storms along the Ohio River with localized small hail and gusty winds. Scattered showers and perhaps a few storms will remain a threat particularly Thursday afternoon and continuing into the overnight before lifting east Friday morning. Beware of wetter risks creeping back into the area during the 5-10 day timeframe given a southeastern US ridge becoming more dominant and a frontal boundary setting up.
