Total precipitation: Heaviest happens this evening through the pre-dawn hours of Friday:

As a cold-core upper-level low sits overhead Friday night through Saturday….pesky precipitation looks to linger.  This has changed the forecast for Saturday to much cooler with light precipitation lingering.  We have a decent risk to see wet snow flakes mix in as well early Saturday.  There could even be a band of heavier wet snow for a time.  It’s possible the models are overdone with the cold air, as this system needs to produce enough cold air.  Temps at the surface will be well above freezing, but some data suggests snow could fall hard enough to allow for slushy accumulations.  This will continue to change so be sure to check back.

Wind forecast over the next 4 days:

After a chilly Saturday…a warmer pattern takes over with consistent warmth expected for late April!
