Today’s video:
Overall the pattern of the next 2 days will support little to no precipitation across the forecast area with winds finally winding down tonight across Kansas. Thursday as mentioned in the video we see a widespread relax in the winds across Kansas and Missouri, good conditions to get out and do some spraying if need be. Rainfall coverage picks up in western Kansas late Friday morning and slowly bleeds east into Saturday across mainly central/southern parts of Kansas…eyeing the southern half of Missouri to see lingering rain showers most of Sunday and potentially into Monday now looking like the upper-level low pressure system looks to stall out. Will need to watch this closely. Still some differences between the Euro and GFS models in the rainfall totals here through Monday, it all depends on where the low pressure develops…but a good many see ~0.5″+ in Kansas (except north and east) as well as the southern half of Missouri:
Temperatures from normal over the next 2 weeks continues to suggest we see a sustained warm-up getting into next week…great news for getting these soil temps to 50F+:
