4-16-20 Tovar Chicago S: Update on snow potential. MG.

Good Evening!  We just wanted to provide you a quick update on the snow moving in tonight/ tomorrow morning.  Overall, things look to be on par with the previous forecast.

Here is a look at the current hazards across the area.

Here is a look at simulated radar from 8 PM tonight through 11 AM.

Here is a look at preferred snowfall totals with this system.  Overall, thoughts have remained the same since the previous updates as data has come in rather consistent.  Remember, not all of this will be realized on pavement as warmer temperatures should help to melt the snow upon contact.  However, heavy snowfall rates can overcome this and allow for slushy accumulations with hazardous travel conditions/ slick spots.

Here is a zoomed in look at the image above.  Overall thoughts have not changed from the previous forecast.

Here is a look temperatures from 1 AM through 11 AM tomorrow morning.  Temperatures at times may get to around 32 F or slightly cooler where heavier snow can fall.  Overall temperatures look to be at/ above 32 F across the Chicago area.
