IA Video:

Here is a look at simulated radar from 9 AM this morning thorough 9 AM tomorrow morning.  Snow will begin to work into SW portions of the state this evening before spreading east into the overnight/ early morning hours of tomorrow. More details discussed in the video.

Here is a look at preferred snow “falling from the sky” through tomorrow morning.  Some spots in SE IA could see amounts of 1″ – 1.5″ fall from the sky.  Notice most of the snow staying confined into southern portions of the state.  Not all of this will impact the pavement due to being in mid – April.  Most of this will stay confined to grassy/ elevated surfaces.  More details in the video.

Here is a look at simulated radar from 10 AM tomorrow morning through 10 AM Friday.  We will have to watch the southern half of the state for some wintry mix on Thursday.  Right now, confidence in this wave is a bit lower than normal due to model spread and continual shifting.  Something we will continue to monitor / fine – tune going forward.  More discussion in the video.

Here is a look at the sustained winds around 1 PM today.  Some gust of 30 + MPH will be possible, especially in eastern portions of the state.
