Updated simulated radar guidance suggests showers and a few storms pick up in coverage between 10a-12p from SW to NE for Cincy Saturday. Right now not looking overly heavy and think we may still be able to play through most of it. Light showers likely continue until ~3PM EST when they really begin to diminish as a bit of drier air works into the area. Our next round of heavier rain develops late Saturday between 9 and 11 PM EST.
As noted above the next round picks up in a big way after 9-10p Saturday night, with some gusty, heavy storms likely all the way into game time before finally exiting. We think that Sunday has the potential to be a washout pre game and during the game. Moderate to heavy rain will fall throughout most of the day on Sunday, with this line of rain finally pushing out by 7PM EST Sunday evening. Some scattered showers and and mist likely hangs around into the overnight hours as temperature drop.
Updated totals from the Hi-Resolution NAM continues to suggest widespread totals of 1-1.5″ with pockets of heavier rainfall totals reaching 2-3″. Given the north to south flow with this storm and ample moisture supply, this solution certainly has merit.
Have a good Friday evening!
