Radar at 3:15PM CDT: Watching a line of storms rapidly developing over eastern Kansas along a dry-line boundary…also note storms rapidly developing across southwest Iowa.

Tornado watches are up for eastern Kansas, southwest Iowa, and western Missouri until 9 to 10pm CDT.  Note the timestamp on the graphic below is in eastern time.

Here is how the storms evolve through the evening via the simulated radar.  Time-frame of this animation is from now (3pm CDT) to 6am Saturday.  Dangerous storms will continue to erupt from eastern Kansas to southwest Iowa between now to 8pm.  Feel that the worst of the severe weather issues are over after 10pm, with storms pushing east across southeast Iowa and Missouri through the overnight, gradually weakening with eastward progression.

Still feel this map is very valid for this evening regarding greatest risk for tornadoes to spin up.  Also watch for damaging wind gusts and large hail in these areas.
