Today’s Video:
Good Monday morning everyone. We do have a few scattered light snow showers/flurries in the NE portion of North Dakota this morning, but the main wave is working across Western and Central SD this mooning. The snow working across South Dakota could see moderate to isolated heavy bands at times throughout the day today – though it should weaken in Eastern SD. As we work into tomorrow, an arctic front will begin to dive into the area and spawn scattered snow showers and squalls mainly in Eastern ND. There are enough dynamics with these squalls to produce some isolated totals of 0.5 – 1.0″.
Here’s a look at potential accumulation with the wave tonight and snow shower activity tomorrow and tomorrow night:
Here’s a look at temperatures over the next 4 days. Cooler air especially in Eastern ND is likely into Wednesday, but a front moves through late Thursday and allows temperatures to really warm up into this weekend.
Wind will gust with the snow showers tomorrow as high as 40 MPH at times from the northwest:
A weak wave is possible with a front late Thursday in North Dakota with some light rain/snow mix. We could also see a mix of snow in SW SD on Wednesday transitioning to rain by Wednesday afternoon.
