Forecast radar shows continued scattered snow showers impacting the northern/northeast portions of the state throughout the day as additional upper energy rotates through…most of western Ohio should see flurries diminish with some sunshine today. Another disturbance looks to miss Ohio to the south with light rain and wet snowfall across Kentucky tonight.
Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies across the state. The data still shows some differences in the forecast Sunday/Sunday night with the track of a southern system. European continues to keep Ohio completely dry, while the GFS suggests rain and even wet snow clipping southern Ohio late Sunday into early Monday. We continue to lean towards the dry solution (shown below).
Temperatures remain chilly for the weekend with highs in the 30s and 40s for most.
We hang on to chilly conditions for the first half of next week. A reinforcing trough may bring some additional snow shower chances across the state, particularly Tuesday into Wednesday. A nice warm-up finally kicks in late next week into the following weekend.
