Video:

Good Thursday morning!  Snow squalls have left localized accumulations and slick spots this morning…watch for rapidly changing road conditions between snow/ice covered and nothing at all.  Latest radar as of 5am ET:

Snow showers will continue to diminish across central and southern Indiana between now and 8am…snow showers will continue for northern Indiana from near La Porte and points east towards Angola to Fort Wayne, potentially ramping up a bit around mid-morning.  As we head into late morning and afternoon, additional scattered flurries likely re-develop across central and eastern Indiana, with lake-effect snow showers continuing for northeast Indiana.  Most areas of the state should be dry tonight.  However, the exception will be areas from near La Porte and east towards Angola to Auburn for additional lake-effect snow showers.  This area will maintain the chance for scattered snow showers through the first half of Friday.

Additional snow will be light, a local 1″ of additional snow possible near Angola to South Bend…localized snow bands.

Temperatures will be very chilly once again today as temperatures struggle to rise above freezing in central Indiana!  Slightly warmer Friday with most locations near 40º.

A disturbance will work across southwest Indiana Friday afternoon and evening with the risk for light rain mixing with light snow.  Temperatures here will be above freezing, so accumulation is not likely.

The weekend is looking dry overall…a few showers along the Ohio river into early Saturday.  Other-wise, it appears precipitation will stay south of Indiana throughout the weekend.  We should even see partly sunny conditions both days, sunnier the further north you are.  Highs will be in the 40s.

A quiet pattern looks to take hold much of next week…models showing lack-luster precipitation until a potential storm system next weekend.  Total precipitation through the end of next week only a few hundredths for most.
