Here is a look at the current hazards across the area.  Far western IL is in a Red Flag Warning/ Wind Advisory.  Would not be surprised to see the wind advisories issues further east as windy conditions are expected today.

Here is a look at simulated radar guidance from 8 AM through 12 PM Friday.  A few rumbles of thunder will be possible this afternoon across northern IL.  Snow will be possible later tonight, however, due to warmer temperatures we will see today and breezy conditions, no/ minimal pavement impacts are anticipated.  Please watch video for complete details.

Here is a look at the preferred snow through tomorrow morning.  As mentioned above and in the video, pavement issues should largely be avoided.

Here is a look at the winds today around 11 AM.  Sustained winds of 15 – 20 MPH will be possible across central/ northern IL.  Gust of up to 35 – 45 MPH will be possible.

We continue to eye a system early next week for precipitation chances across the state.  The image below is a snap shot of the European model around 10 AM Monday.   However, we are also closely watching the trends which suggest this may weaken some and shift south.  Please watch video for complete details.
