3-4-20 NE Chicago: Quick update on morning snow chances. MG.

Good morning! 

Here is a look at simulated radar guidance from 4 AM though 7 AM with current temperatures/ radar as of 3:25 AM and forecast temperatures as of 6 AM.  Area of snow/ rain will continue to work east this morning as temperatures are expected to remain above freezing.  This wave will be a quick hitting one as well, and will largely be out of the Chicago area by 6 AM – 7 AM and out of NW IN by 7 – 8 AM.  Temperatures right now are above freezing widespread and should help mitigate widespread pavement impacts.  Temperatures will quickly rise during sunrise with temperatures into the afternoon getting into the 40’s.

Here is a look at anticipated snowfall totals. with this wave.  As mentioned above and previous updates, minimal pavement impacts are anticipated due to these warmer temperatures.
