Good morning! No video update today due to the quiet weather the next several days.
An overall quiet weather pattern is expected through Sunday as Kansas will lay in between the southern and northern streams of the Jet Stream. However, we will be dealing with some breezy conditions today and tomorrow as well. The breezy conditions combined with dry air has lead the National Weather Service to issue a Red Flag Warning. The image below shows northwestern counties are under a Red Flag Warning.
Here is a look at the wind gust potential around 3 PM today. Winds across far NW KS could see gust around 35 MPH.
Sustained winds during this time could be as high as 20 MPH.
Core of stronger winds shift to the east tomorrow. Wind gust of 30+ MPH will be possible across NE KS tomorrow afternoon. Here is a look at the wind gust potential around 4 PM tomorrow.
