Winter weather advisories for portions of Nebraska Saturday night into Sunday for several inches of snow expected. These may expand as we get closer.
Cold front sweeps through tonight and Saturday. Best focus for showers with this front will be across Iowa and Missouri. Forecast radar from 9pm CDT tonight to 4pm CDT Saturday shown below.
A disturbance spreads snow across portions of Nebraska Saturday night, then precipitation spreads east across the region through Easter Sunday. Here is the forecast radar from 4pm Saturday to 10pm Sunday CDT.
Areas near North Platte to Scottsbluff could see a band of 3-6″, with an isolated area of 6″+ likely….perhaps just northwest of North Platte. The snow amounts lessen as you go east….but increasing chance to pick up light accumulations in northeast Kansas and the northern half of Missouri. New hi-res data is picking up on the heavier band that I mentioned:
