3-3-20 Tovar Dubuque: Quick Update on snowfall potential late tonight/ tomorrow morning. MG.

Good afternoon!  Overall the forecast from this AM remains on track.

Here is a look at the current temperatures as of 1:30 PM.

Here is a look at a 6 – Panel of simulated radar from 2 AM through 12 PM tomorrow.  Snow begins to approach the Dubuque area around 2 AM and will continue to push east in the morning hours of tomorrow.  By around 6 AM, This snow will be largely east of the Dubuque area.  Temperatures (see below) during this time area expected to generally be at / above freezing.  Pavement impacts should largely be avoided but cannot 100% rule out some isolated pavement impacts as temperatures drop to near 32 F and under heavier burst of snow.  If treatment is down, not anticipating any issues.

Here is a look from 2 AM through 12 PM.  Temperatures will be near the 32 F mark when the snow is falling and cannot rule out slick spots developing as the snow passes for the Dubuque area.

Here is a look at preferred snowfall totals with this wave tomorrow morning.  Most of this will be realized on grassy/ elevated surfaces with only potential minor pavements for the Dubuque area.  If any treatment is down, no issues are anticipated.
