Main weather takeaways over the next few days:

Forecast radar over the next 30 hours shown below.  We may see a lull in the steady rains this morning, but expecting widespread showers to work in from late morning through the afternoon for much of the state, the exception being far northwest areas.  A few showers may linger through the first half of Friday, then a gradual clearing trend from west to east during the afternoon and evening.

Also expect a foggy morning out there, some areas rather dense.  The “dense” fog should start to mix out towards midday.  (The bright pinks on the animation below indicate the lowest visibility).  Animation of forecast visibility from 7am to 2pm EDT shown below.

Much of central Indiana can pick up 1″ of rain over the next 24 hours….some totals to 1.5″ in southern Indiana.  Sharp cut-off northwest of a Lafayette to Fort Wayne line.

Any fog/frost threats?  As we head into Friday night, there could be some frost and fog formation mainly in eastern Indiana, but increasing winds and clouds late night into Saturday morning diminish the potential.
