3-28-18 Reds Forecast: Rain for Opening Day….Drier conditions return for Friday into Saturday. N.

Good Wednesday morning!  Here is an update on what to expect over the coming days.  Opening Day forecast continues to look very wet with a near guarantee for rain much of the day.  Dry weather returns for Friday afternoon into Saturday afternoon before another front arrives late Saturday with another chance for showers.  Unseasonably cold but dry on Sunday.

Here is a look at the forecast radar from 10am Thursday to 12am Friday.  Again, rain will be possible at any given time tomorrow with a few thunderstorms as well.  The storms in the afternoon could contain gusty winds.

It will become breezy in the afternoon and evening with gusts to 30mph.  In embedded storms, winds could gust even higher, but generally stay below severe criteria.

Here is a look at 24-hour accumulated rainfall from 2am tonight to 2am Friday.  Anywhere from 0.75″ to 1.25″ possible.

Friday looks like a dry day beyond shower chances for the first half of the day.  We should see some breaks in the clouds later in the day.  The winds will relax and be very light by the afternoon and evening.

Saturday may end up a decent day despite an approaching cold front. Right now the majority of the data holds the rain off until ~5pm and beyond, meaning the game may get in dry.  Temperatures will be decent, warming close to 60º by mid-afternoon.  Expect a rather breezy day with southwest winds gusting to 30 mph.

Sunday will be an unseasonably cold day with highs only in the 40s.  The good news is that is looks dry as the cold front pushes south of the area.

We will keep Monday dry for now with temperatures remaining below average.  Some data tries to sneak in minor rain chances, but we are favoring a dry solution for now.

Tuesday will feature the chance of a few showers with a disturbance overhead.  Slightly milder highs in the middle to upper 50s.
