Video:

Good Wednesday morning!  Overall it’s a fairly quiet and milder next couple of days ahead, then we watch a storm system that works through Friday afternoon through Saturday….this will bring rain across Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri, with a band of significant, wet snow looking more likely in northeast Iowa.  Kansas unfortunately misses most of the rain with this one.

Check out the temperature trends through Saturday.  All of us see a warming trend over the next few days, with Kansas seeing very warm conditions by Friday.

A disturbance works through Thursday which may bring a swath of showers across the area…many stay dry and we are only talking up to two-tenths in southern Iowa tomorrow.

Potent system rolls east across the region late Friday and Saturday.  This will bring windy conditions with enhanced fire danger across Kansas…and the focus for moisture across Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri.  Northeast Iowa will have the potential for a significant heavy, wet snow event.

Total precipitation over the next week: Data bringing in plenty of moisture over Iowa for week 1!  Meanwhile, western Kansas will see little or no precipitation.

For those of you in northeast Iowa….here is the probability of at least 6″ of snow Friday night through Saturday:
