Good Morning! A quick nowcast update on heavy banding that we have seen develop in North Central IN:
We have seen a pretty heavy band of wet snow develop over the past few hours in the areas circled. This band is only 1-2 counties wide but this banding has allowed temps to drop 1-2 degrees below guidance and keep things as primarily snow with little rain mixing in. This banding looks to persist for the next ~two hours and can provide some heavy, wet snow. Thanks to this rather intense banding, pavement impacts in the area circled are likely and accumulations of ~1+” are also likely. Reach out with questions!
