Here is a look at the preferred precipitin totals with this wave of precipitation today.

We could also see some breezier conditions develop this afternoon.  Here is a look at the sustained winds around 4 PM today.  Wind gust of 35+ mph will be possible, especially into northern/ western portions of the state.

We are continuing to eye a system on Saturday for some wintry potential.  Here is a look at preferred simulated radar from 10 PM Friday through 4 PM Saturday.  As things stand now, this wave of wintry precip does not look to be very impactful.  More details in the video.

Here is a look at the preferred  snowfall accumulations with this wave of precipitation.  Areas in southwestern IA have the greatest potential to see snow but warmer temperatures (generally above 32 F) as the snow is falling should limit pavement impacts.  Best potential looks to be just to your south… something we will have to fine tune going forward.
