Quiet pattern is expected for the next several days as high pressure remains in control.
Temperatures will continue to run cold for mid-March thanks to the snowpack. Areas across southern South Dakota will be the lucky spots that trend much warmer.
Winds will be rather light across the Dakotas over the next couple of days….a bit breezy across eastern Minnesota over the next few days.
Late week system may impact southwest portions of the region…mainly South Dakota and western North Dakota. A swath of snow will be possible here or a wintry mix, but still plenty of disagreement in the data regarding placement and intensity.
Much of the region looks to stay dry this week, but we’ll need to watch western and southern areas for possible precipitation from a couple systems late week and again late weekend. European model is bullish on moisture in southwest South Dakota.
