Here is a look at preferred rainfall totals through tomorrow morning.
Some fog may develop later in the morning hours of tomorrow across mainly northern IA. Temperatures are expected to remain at / above freezing so we are not anticipating widespread slick spot issues. Perhaps some isolated slick spots will be possible if cooler temperatures can be realized. Here is a look at the visibilities around 9 AM tomorrow morning. The darker shades are indicative of lower visibilities from fog. Toward Des Moines, this fog is expected to be much more patchy in nature and is not anticipated to cause too many issues.
Here is a look at simulated radar from 1 AM Thursday through 7 PM Saturday. A few light showers will be possible on Thursday before a drier Friday. We continue to watch a system late Friday into Saturday with some wintry potential. As stated in the video, models have trended less with this risk and there is still lower confidence in any potential impacts that can be seen from this. Would not be surprised to see this continue to trend weaker. Please watch video for further details.
