Current radar shows the showers gradually exiting eastern portions of the area this morning:
Lots of sunshine will continue to work in throughout the day, with clouds and showers exiting eastern Missouri. Dry conditions continue through Saturday.
Expect a continued warming trend over the next few days. Great time to get outdoor activities done!
South winds will become rather windy through the weekend, ahead of a developing system that will move in Sunday afternoon, and linger through early next week. Rain showers look to develop across Iowa/Missouri late Sunday, then the system will sit and spin across the northern Plains, with very windy conditions Monday through Tuesday. If current model solutions verify, this would be quite the blizzard for the Dakotas. We will have to keep an eye on snow chances for Iowa and Nebraska too. System looks to exit by next Wednesday.
