Good Thursday morning! We have winter weather and winter storm warnings across Iowa from today through Friday for the potential of heavy snow:
Here is the future radar from 11AM CT today to 5PM CT Friday. Snow will spread into northern Iowa this afternoon, with snow continuing there overnight. Watching Nebraska and southwest Iowa for mixed precipitation to develop this evening and overnight which could create a glaze of icing here.
Here is our official snowfall forecast just through Friday morning.
Watching for snow chances to continue Friday, with the snow shifting south with time. Snow will continue off and on along I-80 in Nebraska and Iowa. Watching for wintry precipitation to shift southward into Missouri and Kansas Friday night through Saturday night. By time all is said and done, much of the region will have seen some measurable snow and mixed precipitation.
Looking at temperatures, Kansas and Missouri enjoy a mild day today, but then the cold air takes over from tomorrow through much of the weekend.
Have a great day, and let us know if you have any questions!
