2-7-20 Tovar Kokomo: Latest snowfall forecast for tonight into tomorrow. B.

Good morning everyone. We just wanted to give you a quick update on the latest snowfall risks. Based on the latest data and upper-level energy, we are favoring Central Indiana for a solid band of 0.5 – 1.5″ with localized 2″. The best forcing likely sets up just along and south of I-70 with 1-1.5″ favored in areas like Indianapolis, Bloomington, Columbus, Shelbyville and Richmond. These areas also have the highest potential to see localized totals up to 2″. Below is a Central Indiana map showing where the potential for the highest totals will be:

Here’s a look at a zoomed out map of Indiana for accumulations with this wave through 4PM tomorrow:

Here’s a look at the simulated radar throughout the duration of this system. Note, the main wave will work through overnight tonight with snow entering western Indiana including Terre Haute as early as 11PM to Midnight. For the Indy Metro area around ~2AM ET and then will exit around ~8AM ET with the main wave working east of the state into Ohio by 11AM – Noon.

However, Central Indiana does stand the risk for scattered, light backside snow showers and flurries persisting into the afternoon and evening hours with some additional light accumulations possible.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out and have a great day.
