2-7-20 Indy DPW: Discussing multiple shots of light snow accumulation over the next few days.V.

Good Friday Morning! Below is your latest forecast update:

Sim radar from 7 AM ET through early afternoon. We think that some light, scattered snow flurries/ snow showers can linger around the area through about the ~9/10 AM timeframe. After this, the upper level energy passes the area and willl help keep things dry:

Additional snow from 7 AM ET through early afternoon- we are not expecting much additional accumulation and any treatment should mitigate all risks:

Sim radar from 10 PM ET tonight through 8 AM ET Saturday morning. Currently favoring this wave to work into the downtown area around the ~1 to 3 AM ET timeframe Sat morning and depart near ~6-7 AM ET Sat AM. This looks to be a quick pulse of light to at times moderate snow:

Current favored totals from this weak wave tonight and into the Sat AM hours- 0.5 to 1.0 inches with some iso spots closer to 1.5″:

Temps from 10 PM ET tonight through 10 AM Sat AM. While the snow is falling, temps will generally be in the upper 20s:

Looking forward, Saturday in the afternoon looks to stay dry. The next best chance for precip looks to come Sunday afternoon- right now favoring this to be mainly coming in the form of rain as temps look to be too warm for wintry impacts, but this is just outside of our hi-res guidance so we will have to refine details going forward:

Current favored liquid precip coming from this system:
