Good Wednesday morning!  This update is being written at 4:45 AM EST.  Watching a band of snowfall and sleet working from Bedford to Seymour to Batesville.  Further south, we still find freezing rain affecting southeast Indiana from New Albany to Aurora.  The main push of moisture has exited the Vincennes district.  The concern will be for some lingering freezing mist that may linger into the mid-morning hours today, once the main wave of moisture moves out over the next couple hours.  Beyond 10am ET, we are working in some drier air and should see improving conditions this afternoon with a few peeks of sun.  Winds today will be out of the northwest gusting to 20-25 mph.

Temperatures will continue to cool from now through 8am, so that will lead to the concern of lingering moisture to refreeze on roads, along with the pesky light mist to create a thin glaze.  Temperatures this afternoon will rebound in the low to mid 30s for highs.  Temperatures tonight fall back into the teens.

Overall we think southern Indiana catches a break for Thursday and Friday.  Greater forcing for any precipitation looks to stay generally north of our area.  Temperatures will warm above freezing for highs as well.  By Friday, we are in the mid 40s to lower 50s.  Watching the weekend for another front to move through with the potential of some wintry precipitation, especially late Saturday through the first half of Sunday.  This could be light freezing rain and snow.  Warmer air looks to move in for the first half of next week…50s by Tuesday!
