Timing from previous forecasts are on track. The run to run changes in forecast model guidance with this system are exceptional with each new hour data continues to hop and jump around making it very difficult to pinpoint specifics. Overall first and foremost I anticipate freezing rain and drizzle can mix in from I-70 south at times over the next several hours before changing to all snow from NW to SE by morning as explained in previous updates.

You can see how erratic the run to run models have been. This system has been a serious challenge for the models for days now. You can see how the snowfall accumulations change from run to run. 1 thing I can tell you is the shield of snow is certainly developing further NW which is why I’ve went with a blanket 1-3″ with the highest confidence of 2″+ from I-70 south and east into OH where a band of 3-6″ is possible. As I mentioned above overall timing is still on track with most of this exiting the area between.
