Areas of snow will continue across Iowa and Nebraska Friday, with additional wintry precipitation likely developing further south over Kansas/Missouri Friday night through Saturday night as the front sinks southward. Most areas across the central Plains likely pick up some snow before all is said and done this weekend.
We also need to watch for the potential of freezing drizzle over the Nebraska and southern Iowa Thursday night into Friday.

Snowfall output from the latest data shows a heavy band of snow over north-central Iowa, where a 6-10″ swath is easily possible (locally more?). Exactly where this band sets-up is crucial as a small shift north/south can make a MAJOR difference in snow totals for any one location.
