2-6-20 Tovar Indianapolis: Latest data through tomorrow morning. MG.

Good Evening!

Forecast is on track as data remains consistent.  As previously mentioned, still looking at slick spot potential statewide on untreated surfaces.  If treatment is down, no issues are anticipated.  Here is a look at a 6 – Panel of simulated radar from 12 AM through 10 AM.

Sometimes the simulated radar cannot pick up on light flurries/ drizzle that may form.  The image below shows the upper level energy from midnight through 9 AM.  As this energy passes overhead (shades of red, yellow, green) tonight through the early morning hours of tomorrow, light flurries/ drizzle will continue to be possible.

Here is a look at the current temperatures as of 8:15 PM ET.  Essentially everywhere is below 32 F statewide.

Temperature will continue to remain below freezing, even through 10 AM tomorrow morning.  Here is a look at temperatures around 10 AM tomorrow morning.

Here is a look at some of the latest data in regards to additional snowfall amounts.  The map shown below is very similar to the map shown in the afternoon update.  Areas along the Ohio and Kentucky borders have the best chance to see higher amounts.  As discussed, treatment in these areas should mitigate most issues.  However, slick spots will be probable on untreated surfaces.

There is currently a winter weather advisory across far SE and E IN for this wave of wintry precipitation through tomorrow morning.
