Good morning! Most of the daytime today will be relatively quiet outside of some light lake-effect snow showers that influence portions of St. Joseph and Elkhart counties. Watching another disturbance rolling in this evening, bringing our next round of snow. Snow should spread into the area from mid-evening through the overnight hours, exiting 7-9am Wednesday. Lake-effect snow will kick up and bring some additional accumulation, especially La Porte and St. Joseph counties during the day-time Wednesday. Forecast radar from 8pm this evening to 6pm ET Wednesday:
Looks like northwest sections of the area see the heaviest snow, 2-3″ with local 4″ totals. Lower totals closer to 1″ south. This includes the additional lake-effect snow Wednesday.
Additional snow chances in the forecast late Thursday through the weekend. We will have to fine-tune placement and totals as we get closer.
