Good afternoon!
Here is a look at a 6 – Panel of simulated radar from 4 PM this afternoon through 2 AM. Around 4 PM, points north of I-70 including Lafayette, Kokomo, and Muncie, will begin to see the development of some light snow and will continue to expand in coverage by 6 PM. This area of snow will continue to push east-southeast into the evening / overnight hours. By 12 AM, this pulse will be mainly south of the I – 70 corridor.
Here is a look at the preferred model snow accumulations with this weak pulse. In general, only a coating of snow is expected where these light snow flurries can develop. If any treatment is down, no issues are anticipated, especially when considering wind gust around 20 mph. In areas from Fort Wayne to South Bend, a coating to locally 0.5 ” will be possible due to lake effect snow.
Temperatures will continue to remain on the cooler side into the overnight. The image below shows temperatures by 7 AM tomorrow morning.
