2-25-20 Tovar Dubuque: Wintry potential remaining to the south today. MG.

IA Video:

Here is a look at simulated radar from 9 AM today through 12 PM Thursday.  Most of the impactful snow should stay south of Iowa as model continue to trend to the south with the accumulating snowfall.

Here is a look at the past several runs of the European Model.  The southerly trend is very apparent.  Further shifts will be possible going forward.

Current thoughts on snowfall accumulations through tomorrow.

Some breezier conditions will be in store later on today with with sustained winds around 15 mph out of the north.  Gust of 30 – 30 mph will be possible.  Here is a look the sustained winds today around 3 PM.

Generally quiet weather is expected into the week.  A weak wave on Friday afternoon will offer some precipitation chances.  The system on Friday does not look impactful/ impressive at all.  Here is a snapshot of the European model around 3 PM Friday.
