Video:
Good Tuesday morning! Current radar is showing the snow gradually starting to move out.
Several inches of snow were reported over the past 12 hours in many locations, heaviest in northeast Minnesota and western South Dakota. A tenth inch of ice from freezing drizzle has been reported in southeast Minnesota.
Light snow will continue over the eastern Dakotas through Minnesota this morning, exiting this afternoon.
Temperatures will remain very cold today, and most locations falling below zero tonight…coldest readings across South Dakota where the deepest snowpack is present.
As mentioned in the video, there is a chance for fog in parts of the area Thursday morning as warmer air tries to work in. The next chance for snow will move in late Thursday into Friday. This looks like a light event at this time.
Watching another system that may impact southern portions of the area Saturday..low confidence on track/placement but we will keep you updated over the coming days. It will take a similar track to Friday’s system.
