Good Wednesday morning! Some light snow chances will be with us this evening through Thursday as an arctic front moves through. Important to note that not everyone will see snow, and amounts will generally be light. Latest guidance brings in snow to northern North Dakota 4-9pm CT. This band will extend east into northern Minnesota, but the eastern extent will tend to dissipate as it moves southeast. Here is the forecast radar from 4pm today to 9am Thursday:
Another area of snowfall is expected across western South Dakota Thursday morning, and should taper by late afternoon Thursday.
Here is our current thinking on snowfall…western South Dakota will see the highest amounts with 2-4″. Several of you get skipped with little to no accumulation.
Temperatures will feel great today with mild air. The arctic front will send temperatures falling northwest to southeast Thursday, with a cold day on Friday. Here is a look at temperatures from noon today to 6am CT on Friday:
Sunny much of Friday, then a weaker disturbance will scoot across the area Friday night into Saturday with scattered snow showers, most numerous north.
