Good evening! We are watching that secondary impulse of energy that we discussed this morning which now looks to brush southern portions of the state with a light wintry mix this evening into portions of the overnight. Recall this morning that we thought this would stay generally south of the river. Trends suggest it is further north. Radar at 7pm ET:
I have circled the main area to watch for a light wintry mix of freezing drizzle, sleet and snow to develop this evening and exit far southeast sections of Seymour district by 3am ET.
With temperatures falling deep into the 20s, any light precipitation can make road surfaces slick.
