2-1-18 Northern Plains Forecast: Multiple waves of snow on the way! N.

Video:

Good Thursday morning!  Dry and cold weather expected today with arctic high pressure overhead.  Watching for snow showers to develop Friday as a warm front feature moves through.  A more widespread swath of snow will move across the region overnight Friday (west) then expand east on Saturday morning.  This will especially target areas across North Dakota and much of Minnesota.  Then a third wave moves into the Dakotas Saturday evening through Sunday morning.  Heaviest snow with this will target western South Dakota.

Here is an animation of snow amounts from 3pm CT Friday to noon CT Sunday to show how/where it accumulates over time (more in the video):

After catching a break Sunday afternoon, we target our next clipper to move in on Monday.  This one may target areas a bit further south across South Dakota and southern Minnesota.
