Simulated radar of the lake effect snow band gearing up tonight into Friday morning (starting ~6-8pmEST)…for locations west of Porter County this looks to be a non-event, with St. Joseph/Marshall counties east seeing on and off snow showers through about noon on Friday before we lose the northwestern fetch off of Lake Michigan.
Latest thoughts on snowfall accumulation…we need to be cautious of some slick spots tonight as temps do crash into the teens…areas near the Michigan/Indiana border may see totals ~1.0-1.5″ (area in red square)…locations further south in the blue outline look to see a coating up to 0.5″:
