Latest simulated radar guidance from 1pmCT today through midnight, as a very quick moving wave of snow showers work east…quickly reduced visibilities as the snow works east will be possible, also with snow rates being briefly heavy. Locations around the Chicago metro area look to be a bit too Far East for much/any impacts of wintry weather here today:

Total snowfall accumulations are below, very close to what we mentioned in this morning’s updates. Pavement impacts looking to overall be minimal given the surface temps we are currently at and forecast to be as this wave works east well above freezing:

Despite temps getting very cold into Tuesday morning, we do not anticipate overall enough total precipitation ahead for widespread refreeze risks here, also in conjunction with the winds persisting into the overnight out of the NW ~5-20mph:
