Here is a look at preferred snowfall totals out through Monday afternoon. Models have continued to shift north with the heaviest snowfall with general amounts of 2″ – 4″ to the north with isolated higher to the northeast. Widespread 1″ – 3″ for central portions of the state with parts of SE SD seeing generally less than 1″.
We could still see a few flurries Monday afternoon into Tuesday morning as some passing upper level energy will be overhead. These flurries would be light with minimal accumulations. Overall, not anticipating this to be a widespread issue. Below is a look at the upper level energy around 12 AM Tuesday. The “greens” and “yellows” just indicate areas of upper motion capable of squeezing out a few flurries.
