12-6-17 Illinois Forecast: Turning colder into late week, light accumulating snow for some Saturday morning. N.

Today’s Illinois Video Forecast:

A few snow flurries will be possible this afternoon into tonight as a reinforcing shot of cold air builds in “squeezing out” any moisture out of the atmosphere.  

Snow showers expected to move in late Friday night and the first half of Saturday across the northeast half of the state.  These areas could see 1-2″ of snow out of this system.  More details on placement/locations in the video.  

Dry weather expected Sunday as we briefly moderate the temperatures, but another shot of cold air builds in by Tuesday.  Watch for additional snow showers as well.  Specifics cannot be nailed down until we get closer.  Here are our weeks 1 and 2 outlooks:
