12-6-17 Crawfordsville / Greenfield District Update – Update on Accumulating Snowfall Saturday:
Synopsis: Good Wednesday morning! Today we update on the latest details regarding the accumulating snowfall event on Saturday as a robust clipper system sweeps into the Ohio Valley. We will still continue to fine-tune the exact timing as we get closer to this event as well as accumulations, but overall confidence continues to increase on this being an accumulating snowfall event (thoughts are right now ~1-3″, possibly an isolated 4.0″ report as well). Winds will be southwest shifting northwest gusting up to 30-40mph Saturday afternoon. We also need to keep an eye on a potential refreeze Saturday night as temps crash back down into the 20s. We anticipate there being sunshine working in Sunday afternoon as well as this system departs. Stay glued to the forecast for updates on this. -Kirk
