12-5-19 Minnesota: Eyeing snow potential Monday followed by a severe cold shot. N.

Minnesota Video:

Good morning!  Temperatures will be slightly above normal today, then trending colder tomorrow as a cold front passes tonight.  Most areas stay dry through Sunday, with just a couple waves of light snow in the far north (one this morning-early afternoon), then another one Friday evening, mostly along the International border.

Wind guidance over the next 4 days:

Snow will work into the state Sunday night – Monday, with a band of accumulating snows expected.  It’s still a little early for exact totals & location, but we think a band of 3-6″ could set up over south-central Minnesota.  The European has been most consistent (shown below), but suggests isolated higher totals.
