Good Wednesday morning everyone! We have a few areas of snow showers and flurries across the area this morning. These likely pick up a bit and persist throughout the day especially in Western ND and NE Minnesota:
Based on upper-level energy, here are the areas most at risk for snow showers this afternoon and evening that could produce light accumulations. Isolated o.5 – 1.0″ of snow with a dusting to 0.5″ common for those that do see snow showers. However, these will be somewhat scattered in nature, especially as we work these into South Dakota overnight which will see more like a 30% coverage.

There is another weak piece of energy that pushes through Friday morning that could spawn additional snow showers and flurries in the Eastern Dakotas and Minnesota. These, similar to today, will be hit or miss but could put down a dusting to an isolated o.5″. Note, the model’s sim radar may be a tad too far south:
