12-4-19 Minnesota: Discussing big-time weather changes early next week with snow followed by severe cold. N.

Minnesota Video:

Forecast visibility for late tonight shows a widespread area of fog development, with visibilities under 1/4 mile.  This will create isolated areas of black ice on some surfaces.

A system will zip across far northern/northeast Minnesota Thursday bringing snow showers there.  For many of us, we miss out.

Wind Guidance over the next 4 days:

Friday will be a colder day, then another rebound Saturday into Sunday (enjoy that).  A severe shot of arctic air will drop southeast through the state Sunday night-Monday night, with a brutal stretch of cold Monday-Wednesday next week.  As this transition occurs, we are looking at a swath of snow to work across the state.  Still early to talk amounts, but we talk more about potential in the video.
